Dine’ Culture and Language
The Navajo language is an essential element of life, culture, and the identity of the Navajo people and is important in the preservation and perpetuation of the language for the survival of the Navajo Nation. The Dine’ culture and language program was developed to help students gain knowledge, understanding and respect for the Navajo culture, history, civics, science, and social studies through the study of the Navajo language, in accordance with the Navajo Nation standards.
Naatsis’aan community school library is to provide a flexible space with a wide and inclusive range of resources to support learning and teaching throughout the school. To have a vibrant role in the development of a culture that promotes wider reading, motivated readers and learners for life. A library plays a very important role in promoting the progress of knowledge. The purpose of our school library is to help every member of our school community — students, staff, and families — gain new knowledge, skills and dispositions for learning and personal development that they will use throughout their lives.
For most kids, exercise means being physically active during play, recess, and physical education class, also known as P.E. … Physical education is a course taught in school that focuses on developing physical fitness and the ability to perform and enjoy day-to-day physical activities with ease.
GOALS. Physical Education will develop the WHOLE child in EVERY child. The physical educators will serve as role models, and demonstrate knowledge of health, physical education and wellness. The physical education classes will provide a variety of activities, which will motivate the students and increase participation.
Computer class is an introduction to technology for students in grades K-8 who are developing self-concepts, motor skills, and social relationships. They need opportunities for first-hand experiences in solving problems and manipulating real objects. Students will learn how to navigate and save on the computer desktop. They will also be developing keyboarding skills and utilizing numerous software and Internet based applications in word processing, research, curriculum enhancement and multimedia presentations.
